Assistance to applicants

All funds for INTERREG IVC project funding have been allocated after four calls for proposals. There will be no further calls for proposals in this programming period (2007-2013).

During 2007-2011 four INTERREG IVC Information Points in Rostock (DE), Katowice (PL), Valencia (ES) and Lille (FR) provided advice to applicants, organising different types of events and giving feedback on project ideas.

Information events

  • 57 national information days welcomed 3716 potential applicants and lead applicants and provided general information about the programme.
  • 4 partner search events in Lisbon, Lille, Gothenburg and Budapest enabled applicants to exchange ideas, meet potential partners or join other projects in preparation.
  • 20 Lead Applicant Seminars during each open call helped Lead Applicants develop their project ideas and to prepare the application form.

Individual consultations

Lead applicants also had the opportunity to discuss their project idea with project advisers of the programme. Individual projects consultations were organised during open calls. In addition to getting feedback on the project idea, these face-to-face meetings allowed lead applicants to ask any questions about project development and application documents. During four calls of proposals the Joint Technical Secretariat and the Information Points held a total of 707 individual consultations with project idea owners.

According to a survey of all fourth call lead applicants, out of all assistance possibilities the individual project consultations were the most appreciated – 71% of respondents assessed these as ‘very good’ or ‘good’. Similarly high scores – 70% ‘very good’ or ‘good’ – were given to Lead Applicant Seminars.

Project assistance form

Lead applicants could receive feedback on their project idea, its link to the policy level, possible partners, planned activities and its relevance to the programme by submitting project assistance form from to the relevant information point. Over five years the information points provided feedback to 600 such forms.

Project Idea Database

Partner search was facilitated by the Project Idea Database. The database helped facilitate partner search throughout Europe. It included more than 280 project ideas, describing the issue tackled, main objectives, expected outputs and results, partners needed and contact details for each idea.

Programme Manual

The main tool for project managers is the Programme Manual, available for download below. This document provides detailed information on the requirements for INTERREG IVC projects, not only in development but throughout the lifetime of the project.

You can also download a copy of a sample application form used in the latest call for proposals.
