'PASE - Public policies And Social Enterprises' - finalist of the RegioStars Awards 2013

PASE logoThe list of 27 projects selected for the final of the 2013 RegioStars awards (The objective of the RegioStars Awards is to identify good practices in regional development and to highlight original and innovative projects which could be attractive ...) was announced by the European Commission Tuesday, 17 July 2012. The Regio Stars awards highlight projects for their excellent and innovative work being done.

The ‘PASE’ project co-financed by INTERREG IVC is among the finalists in the third category ‘INCLUSIVE GROWTH: Social innovation: creative responses to societal challenges’. This project aims to promote the interregional cooperation (Part of the C strand of the ETC (as well as of the former Interreg III Community Initiative), its aim is to promote exchange and transfer of knowledge and best ...) among seven public bodies at the regional and the local level, one school of public administration and one public training center coming from different EU Member States.

The overall objective of the project is to enforce the effectiveness of the regional public policies in promoting and supporting social entrepreneurship as an asset for local economic development and territorial competitiveness. Starting from different levels of competences and experiences, the partners intend to exchange experiences, methods and tools which have proved successful in strengthening the economic viability and entrepreneurial spirit of the social enterprises.

‘PASE’ will showcase their project before an independent jury during the tenth annual European Week of Regions and Cities - OPEN DAYS, on Tuesday, 9 October 2012. The Award ceremony itself will take place in Brussels in early 2013.
