View of WroclawThe 2007-2013 programming period of EU funds draws to its end, so it is time for countries to prepare for the future. In that light, the Polish Ministry of Regional Development invites all interested parties to discuss the European Territorial Cooperation (This is the EU Regional policy’s third pillar of the programming period 2007-2013 and succeeds the Interreg III Community Initiative. With the present programming ...) programmes at a conference in Wroclaw, Poland, on 25 October 2012.

European territorial cooperation (ETC) is an important and efficient instrument of regional development. Many projects, supported by the ETC programmes 2007-2013, contribute to improvements in the participating regions in such areas like transport and innovation, air quality and energy efficiency.

The conference on ‘European Territorial Cooperation – Experience and Perspectives’ gives you the possibility to learn about the projects’ results in Poland and other cooperating countries. You can witness ministers responsible for territorial cooperation, EU officials and experts debate the current   ETC programmes as well as the preparations for the future programming period. You, as a stakeholder to territorial cooperation or a potential beneficiary, can contribute to the debate and help shape the cooperation programmes after 2013.

Please, see the draft agenda for more information and look for updates for further details. You can register online (in Polish only) or by filling in the registration form in English and sending it to  Agnieszka.Burda@mrr.gov.pl by 5 October 2012.

If you represent an ETC project, you can submit a proposal for presentation of your achievements by 20 September 2012 (more information for interested projects - in Polish only).

The conference will be held in Polish with simultaneous interpretation into English. Participation in the event is free of charge. The organisers do not cover travel and accommodation costs.
