eCitizen II to present at the EuroPCom conference

The eCitizen II project was selected to present their experience at the 3rd European Conference on Public Communication on 17-18 October 2012 in Brussels. This year's conference focuses on the topic [Re]connecting citizens. Registration to the event is open until 10 October.

4 POWER - Making offshore wind energy a reality

POWER is a 5.8 million Euros mini programme funded through INTERREG IVC between September 2008 and March 2012. Seven European regions (Andalusia, Emilia-Romagna, Malopolska, Noord- Brabant, South East England, Stockholm and Tallinn) joined forces to share their experience on how best to move towards low carbon economies.

4th call projects off to a flying start

INTERREG IVC projects, approved in the 4th call, officially start their activities. They kick off their work at first official meetings with project partners. There they discuss in detail the steps towards the improvement of regional policies in their project's subject area.

INTERREG IVC at euregia 2012

The INTERREG IVC programme will be present at euregia 2012 congress and trade fair in Leipzig, Germany, on 22-24 October, 2012. The programme will organise a workshop there with three INTERREG IVC projects focusing on innovation. It will also display projects' results in general in a stand at the fair. euregia featured an article about the programme's preparations for the fall event.

INTERREG IVC communication seminar took place in Sofia in mid-April to provide representatives of projects from all calls for proposals with helpful tips on their communication activities. A report on the event is now available for all to read.

Two communication seminars in Bulgaria attracted majority of the newly approved 4th call projects. They could discuss their communication tasks and share experience with representatives of the more advanced projects from previous calls. All participants benefited from expert advice and INTERREG IVC project examples on a range of communication-related issues.

Five INTERREG IVC projects submitted for Regio Stars Awards 2013

INTERREG IVC Managing Authority- the Conseil Régional Nord - Pas-de-Calais submitted five projects for the Regio Stars Awards 2013. Know-Man, C2CN, PASE, SUGAR and MKW projects will compete for the award to be internationally recognised as innovative projects which demonstrate good examples and could be attractive and inspiring to other regions.

Seminars on Online Reporting

INTERREG IVC Online reporting seminars took place in Rome and Paris, on the 16 and 21 February 2012 respectively. The staff of the Joint Technical Secretariat welcomed 50 participants representing 47 running projects approved in 1st-3rd Calls.

RegioStars 2013: call for applications

Results of 4th call lead applicant survey

In January 2012 the INTERREG IVC programme conducted a survey among all fourth call lead applicants, to receive feedback on the assistance the Joint Technical Secretariat and Information Points provided during the INTERREG IVC fourth call of proposals. The results of the survey are now published online. These will be used to assess and improve services provided to lead applicants.

Nordic countries lead the Innovation Union Scoreboard 2011

Almost all Member States have improved their innovation performance according to the Innovation Union Scoreboard 2011. Nordic countries and Germany remain the innovation leaders with Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Finland all showing a performance well above that of the EU27 average.

Lead Partner Seminar - event report

The fourth call Lead Partner Seminar took place in Copenhagen, Denmark on 23 January 2012. The staff of the Joint Technical Secretariat and the four Information Points welcomed 173 participants, including representatives of all 82 fourth call projects approved under conditions in December 2011. The event report and presentations are now available online.
