Topic of the practice

Support to SMEs - Focus is placed on strengthening the exports' orientation of enterprises by attending international trade fairs taking place around the globe (as per thematic category of each goods/services industry). In order for this to be materialised in the most productive way for the participants, the methodology in 4 steps has been implemented.

Good Practice Information

Methdology in 4 steps:
-By the end of each year Corallia asks the clusters to identify up to 5 key events focus for the business development of the companies
-The list of events is discussed with third-party (Development Agencies...)
-By the beginning of each year, the list of events is finalised
-Cluster takes the lead and acts as the mediator between all interested companies and the organisers
It is important to note that the Cluster does not get at all involved in the arrangement of private meetings between companies, which may be booked during a trade show – this action is entirely up to each participating company to arrange and manage

Evidence of success

Opportunity to enhance brand & product visibility, promote new & existing products, generate leads & drive incremental sales. COR organises & coordinates the participation of the cluster members in more than 2 trade fairs /shows /exhibitions annually.
More than 30 SMEs were involved in the collective booths so far and more than 50 B2B meetings were arranged.
