Good Practice Information

The KREO programme “From idea to innovative business concept” is a series of seven 3-hour workshops that focus on seven topics: sharpen your business idea, trend spotting, vision, target groups, revenue models, pitch your business idea, and sales presentation. Workshops are interactive and use group exercises and feedback to ensure continuous testing and improvement of ideas. Participants receive a set of visual tools and an interactive exercise book that assist understanding of the idea and concept. Various creativity tools encourage out-of-the-box thinking and make the process engaging and fun.
Many start-up support programmes focus on writing a business plan, patent search and raising finance. KREO addresses a more fundamental problem for entrepreneurs: the need to develop a ‘raw’ idea into an innovative, sustainable business concept. KREO is also unique in its format and methodology, combining visualisation, creative tools, team building and group feedback. It produces good results quickly and at relatively low cost

Evidence of success

90% of workshop participants complete the series and say it has helped them create and define an innovative business concept. Participants also believe the process has given them greater confidence in their idea, developed their entrepreneurial potential and imparted techniques that will be useful in the development of future ideas. KREO programme has been tested in Sweden, Netherlands, Spain and Brazil with thousands of participants during the last 10 years
It is continously used mostly in Sweden at the moment as a Workshopseries provided to African women to integrate them in society and to develop ideas into innovative business concepts.
