Good Practice Information

Green Business Growth is a non-profit, private-public triple helix co-operation between 17 partners: 3 municipalities, private companies, energy providers, banks, business development agencies and educational institutions. The innovative concept promotes collaboration and networking between craftsmen which has proven useful for creation of jobs and turnover.
The main activities consist of development of concepts for training, campaigns, market development, increased demand, visibility and sharing of knowledge. The project supports initiatives to promote good examples at exhibitions at which tradesmen can meet customers who can get inspiration for energy saving solutions. For society the advantage is less energy consumption and CO2 reductions.

Evidence of success

In 2 years the initiative has created 100 green jobs, trained 80 craftsmen, carried out 2 energy exhibitions, 2 training courses for private house owners and created an increase in turnover of 8,6 mio.€ for involved partners. More courses, training and exhibitions are to follow to qualify tradesmen to focus on energy renovation, sale and business development.
