The competence atlas was created on the basis of a study based on a further survey taht included 2000 companies in BW. Objec;: collect data to recognise the strengths and deficits within the sectors and be able to analyse these, offer companie a platform to present their products and services on both natinal and international lelvel, as a way to find new partners enter into new cooperative venture
or form bidding consortiums, all of which would prove to be far more effective in international competition. In addition, the competence atlas It is also designed to make the process of searching for an appropriate service provider or supplier as easy for the customer as possible., shile supporting local companies. A budget of 250.000€ has been provided by the state of BW

Evidence of success

Through the atlas, 6 leading markets within the environmental technology sector have been identified making it easier for companies to assign themselves to a more specific subsector. The database produced is a detailed picture of the heterogeneous cross sectoral industry. the database is constantly growing. A multilingual version of the atlas is under consideration.
