Good Practice Information

Design the register of enterprises with less tan 250 workers with an equality and conciliation plan// Inform and advice equality plans and the advantages of being registered in the suitable register to technical staff and trade union representatives//

In enterprises with less than 250 worker, equality plans have been implemented voluntarily. In enterprises with more than 250 workers, equality plans are compulsory by law. Postgraduate study with the University of the Balearic Islands to acquire the theorical and practical knowledge to elaborate and start equality policies, especially in enterprises. Seminars and conferences on the Law 3/2007. 22nd March for effective equality between men and women, addressed to lawyers and professionals of this field. Seminar on "Equality law in enterprises: equality plans". Through the different training actions, the awareness in the labor sector on treatment and opportunity equality between women and men have been promoted. Evidence of success

- A number of equality plans have been created voluntarily in enterprises of the Balearic Islands, thanks to the funding possibilities of the GD CSR of the regional ministry of Labor and training of the Balearic Islands. After the success of the first call in 2008, a new call has been launched in 2009 for enterprises with more than 10 workers and less than 250, that voluntarily want to generate and implement equality plans in their enterprises
- Improvement in using neutral language and elaboration of good practices
- Staff selection processes which respect the equality between men and women principle (it is the way in which people with the same possibilities, aptitudes and qualification can develop their work without taking into account their sex, age, race, religion, etc.)
- Better knowledge and application of the rights of conciliation of personal, familiar and professional life.
