Partnership among Municipalities is a result of the necessity to offer a whole tourist product based on the variety of resources, elaboration and implementation of common programs, projects and policies facilitating the development of the entire region.
In April, 2009 as a result of an informal partnership, the Union of South-East Region Local Authorities (USERLA), Bulgaria, was founded as a non-governmental, non for profit organization.
USERLA became a member of the European Cultural Tourism Network (ECTN).
USERLA organized “Effective partnerships café” with representatives from Tourist associations from SE Bulgaria within CHARTS project event.
Evidence of success
USERLA Bulgaria, as a non-statutory, voluntary effective partnership, has demonstrated achievements in terms of promoting regional image and identity, including joint presence in cultural & sustainable tourism promotion events.
Other partnerships showed results including tourism development, culture and heritage preservation and promotion, cooperation between culture, heritage & tourism sectors.
