Inter-enterprise mobility plan
Topic of the practice
Good Practice Information
This is a good example of mobility management. In March 2010, airport company ADP, airline Air France, CIF Keolis, FedEx Express, La Poste), later joined by GSF Propreté, began negotiations with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Val d’Oise/Yvelines to create the first Plan de Déplacements Inter-Entreprises in the area of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. These companies represent about 50% of the total number of employees working at the airport (airport platform, airport activities, freight and passenger activities, air carrier etc.).
Five objectives have been identified by these companies:
Pooling resources between companies: common tools to inform employees, awareness campaigns about the Plan, etc.
Enhancing the attractiveness of public transport: awareness campaigns, meetings with the Public Transport Authority of Ile-de-France (STIF), survey on the reasons why employees currently prefer their cars to public transport;
Reducing unnecessary trips: video-conferences, teleworking, childcare centres at companies
Enhancing the possibilities for using non-motorised transport modes (cycling, walking)
Promoting a more rational use of cars and two-wheelers: e.g., car-sharing, eco-driving training
