Good Practice Information

A design pressure cooker is a match between an entreprise or a craftsman and a designer. We collect about 5-10 couples and let them work together during one day. At the end of this day there must be an outcome from the designer. Why does this work? We match not only the questions, but also the people. The 2 persons must understand each other and must be able to work together. Designers think 3d,
they literaly walk around the question to see all different axes. They know about sustain., material, functionality and market. That is why designers give different advise than graphic designers or marketeers. We ask the designers to give advice and to work together to make a new product, a way of reaching a new market, without being to strong in their 'design' and leaving the craft in its value.

Evidence of success

The initiative proved to be a valid tool as 44 new products have been created, new partnerships built, and participatns have attended 4 design exhibitions.
