Good Practice Information

It is a national program owned by Innovation Norway (IN), the Industrial Development Corporation of Norway (SIVA) and the Research Council of Norway (RCN).Advisory and financial supports are offered for the long term development of regional business clusters. It enables smaller companies to deliver and support larger markets than otherwise due to their cooperation in clusters. Members of Arena
networks are enabled to compete with the larger international organizations on the global market through joint ventures. The Arena Digin cluster is operating based on a triple helix architecture with members from both industry, research and education and public institutions. The majority of members are private companies which service diverse markets within the ICT sector.

Evidence of success

58 industry members of Arena Digin are doing business within system development, film and animation, social media and “oil and gas & gaming” (for virtual training). In addition, it includes 7 institutions from research and education, 2 regional development foundations, the 2 counties of Sourthern Norway and the 2 biggest municipalities.
It now counts on 11 employees & NOK 1.5 billion of in revenue
