Good Practice Information

Whole implementation of the policies towards the nomadic groups and travelling people. Network: State, Department Council, local Family Allowance Fund, Municipalities and charities. Budget: € 3,2 million (28% State, 19,5 % Intermunicipality, 18% Regional Council, 16% VAT Clearing Fund, 10% local Public Undertaking for Spatial Planning, 6% Department Council, 2,5% the local Family Allowance Fund).
Innovative element: cooperation approach with a strong local initiative – integrative approach including accommodation, counselling and improvement of living conditions.

Evidence of success

Main indicators: satisfaction rate of families, number of children going to school (on the number of those in school age), quantity of fitted housing delivered; comparison of illegal parking/settlement over 5 years.
