Good Practice Information

Estonian Smart Work Association was established in 2007 to bring together all smart work knowhow and offer support to parties interested in implementing smart work. They promote smart work in Estonia so people can choose their preferred work arrangement and work place, increase the productivity, help risk groups enter the labor market and retain talents who prefer the flexibility, and to help
generate more livelihood in rural communities. They offer training and consultation to employers and employees, support network of telework/smart work centres and promote flexible work forms. The message of the Association is that telework is not a purpose itself; the purposes are more effective work arrangement and better work life balance in local communities.

Evidence of success

The work of Association is measured by number of public awareness events, training courses, study visits and other relevant activities annually. The information dissemination activities (incl. annual Smart Work Day on 31 May) have increased the public attention, incl. journalists towards the topic. This hopefully will influence also the policy-making in the future.
