Topic of the practice
Encouraging Low Emission Transports
Good Practice Information
MOBI2GRID shows a good practice of sustainable electrical mobility. It aims to develop and implement an integrated and intraoperative cross-border mobility system with the development of a pilot test with electric vehicles in the Vigo-Porto corridor of electric mobility.
This will be done based on the following actions:
a. Development and prototyping of the integrated and intraoperative electric mobility system of the Euroregion.
b. Tests and pilot experiences in the cross-border corridor of electric mobility.
c. Observatory for the Electric Mobility in the Euroregion.
The stakeholders involved are: CEIA and CTAG. Financial Framework (Funding): POCTEP (ERDF): 1,408,759 €; CEIIA: 166,667 €; CTAG: 302,919 €.This practice could be transferred to many EU neighbouring regions which suffer a heavy traffic and air pollution from conventional vehicles.
Evidence of success
One of the most remarkable results is the development of a specific methodology for the evaluation of the user’s experience in pilot tests with electric vehicles. Also, the development of the pilot test will also enable the evaluation of the main technical and socioeconomic barriers for the effective deployment of the electric mobility, as well as the generation of recommendations.
