Fostering T&C incubation and start-ups

Good Practice Information

INNOTEX is a unique French textile incubator with more than 10 years’ experience
in providing support for set-up of innovative textile companies. INNOTEX supports business developers willing to start their companies in a professional and sustainable way in Lille Region.
Textile expertise results from close collaboration with a wide network of
professionals and organisms and a strategic position
in the advanced textiles cluster.
Identification of new projects relies such networks as: social networks; professional and academic networks; project developers’ meetings; and fairs for incubation and business creation. Projects are selected by a special Committee bringing together
institutional funders, professionals and entrepreneurs from textile and incubation companies.

Evidence of success

221 projects accomplished since the creation;
more than 30 successful companies launched; business survival rate
Multidisciplinary team, dedicated to project monitoring, ensures quality of coaching
Selection of projects on a professional basis focusing on innovative aspects, developers’ skills and their desire to start a sustainable business.
