Europe, let's cooperate!

Interregional cooperation forum

Bologna, ITALY

December 2014 2-3 Register Now

Two inspiring days of learning and networking with organisations from 30 European countries.

We are convinced that cooperation works. Over 2000 institutions from all over Europe improved their regional policies through cooperation in 204 different interregional projects under INTERREG IVC programme (2007-2013). The wealth of knowledge generated by the projects working on similar regional development issues is now presented for the benefit of all regions accross Europe in a variety of publications tackling topics ranging from innovation to the environment.

Now, it is the right time to step forward. With the new programme, called INTERREG EUROPE, there will be even more opportunities to benefit from interregional cooperation on research and innovation, competitiveness of SMEs, low-carbon economy, and the environment and resource efficiency. You can get co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund for working with other regions, learning from each other and solving common challenges. You can also join four thematic networks that will help local and regional governments become more effective when planning and implementing policies for the benefits of their citizens.

With the motto 'Europe, let's cooperate!' we invite you to an inspiring two-day event in Bologna. You will learn how you can benefit from interregional cooperation and get inspiration from the institutions and regions that already have the experience implementing projects. You will meet experts presenting the latest policy trends and enjoy networking. That's where cooperation starts. It's an opportunity to present your ideas, check the ideas of others and start building new partnerships. INTERREG EUROPE staff will guide you to a successful project development.

Who should attend?

This event welcomes policymakers and practitioners from all over Europe working in any of the four topics: research and innovation, competitiveness of SMEs, low-carbon economy, the environment and resource efficiency.

Whether you work for a Managing Authority of the Structural Funds programmes, local municipality, regional authority or national ministry, regional agency or European association, as long as you are involved in the policy process and interested in participating in the INTERREG EUROPE programme, you are welcome to join.

We would be particularly happy to see:

  • Managing Authorities of Structural Funds programmes
  • regional/local authorities
  • agencies, research institutes, thematic policy organisations
  • representatives of relevant EU thematic networks and communities
  • INTERREG IVC project partners and stakeholders
  • representatives from EU institutions working on the topics covered by the INTERREG EUROPE
