OPEN DAYS 2015
The 13th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities - OPEN DAYS - takes place between 12-15 October 2015 in Brussels. It will open on 12 October and some 100 working sessions, workshops and debates will follow on 13-15 October.
This annual four-day event gives cities and regions an opportunity to showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
With the theme 'Europe's regions and cities: partners for investment and growth', OPEN DAYS 2015 will be structured around three thematic priorities:
- 'Modernising Europe': The regions in the energy Union and the single digital market
- 'Regions open for business': SME development, innovation and job creation
- 'Places and spaces': Urban and rural development; urban-rural integration
Under the three sub-themes, participants are invited to address challenges and solutions related to management and implementation issues as well as the cross-border, interregional or transnational dimension.
Interreg Europe will organise two workshops during the OPEN DAYS 2015.
The detailed OPEN DAYS 2015 Brussels-based programme of workshops will be published on early July 2015 here.
